  1.  AWeb-II Update Information
  2.  
  3. AWeb-II 2.0 to 2.1 Upgrade
  4.  
  5.  Users who downloaded the AWeb-II 2.1 upgrade on November 5th (file size 960350
  6. bytes) may be having a problem installing it when selecting Installer's "Expert"
  7. mode. You can successfully install the upgrade by either downloading this
  8. updated Installer script (21k), or by selecting Installer's default
  9. "Intermediate" mode.
  10.  
  11.  If you downloaded the archive on the 5th, installed it at the "Expert" user
  12. level, and had a problem do the following:
  13.  
  14.  * Replace the saved version of AWeb-II 2.0, using the command:
  15.    Copy AWeb-II:AWeb-II.old to AWeb-II:AWeb-II
  16.  
  17.  *    Re-run the installer script and select the default   "Intermediate" user
  18. level or download and run the   revised installer script as described above.
  19.  
  20.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

  22.  The AWeb-II 2.1 upgrade archive is just under one megabyte in size.Please
  23. ensure that your download directory has at least that much space available. Four
  24. megabytes of free disk space is recommended to store, decompress and install the
  25. archive.The install process will also require both of your original AWeb-II 2.0
  26. disks.
  27.  
  28.  To install the AWeb-II upgrade:
  29.  
  30.  *  Insert the first AWeb-II disk into your floppy disk drive. You will need the
  31. lhex dearchiver on this disk, or any other lhadearchiving program.
  32.  *  Create a new directory on your hard disk and place the 2.1 upgrade archive
  33. in it. Open a Shell and change to that directory.
  34.  * Decompress the archive with the following command:
  35.    AWebII_Install:lhex x AWebII_2.1_Upgrade.1106.lha
  36.  
  37.  * From the Workbench, you can now double-click on the 'Install' icon.
  38.  * From a Shell, use the Installer program found on the first AWeb disk, you may
  39. experience problems with any other version of Installer:
  40.    AWebII_Install:Installer Install_2.1_upgrade
  41.  
  42.  The 2.1 upgrade cannot be used for updating the registered shareware verion of
  43. AWeb.Yvon Rozijn will be contacting registered shareware users with information
  44. on upgrading to the equivalent 1.6 version.
  45.  
  46.  If you are having difficulty following the instructions or downloading the
  47. file, send email to support@amitrix.comdescribing the problem and include your
  48. name, serial number, and email address.
